Rosemont, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2010) - Sophomore Kyle Martyn (Media, Pa./Penncrest) scored his second goal of the season 13 minutes into overtime and Alvernia University (4-1-1) picked up its fourth win of the season with a 2-1 decision at Rosemont College (0-5) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action at Rosemont.

It took the Crusaders more than an hour of playing time to open the scoring when Josh Fretz (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley) scored his first of the year in the 78th minute.  It took Rosemont just five minutes to respond as the Ravens knotted the score at 1-all with under eight minutes left in regulation.

Alvernia keeper Ben Diller (Etters, Pa./Red Land) made three saves in net for the Crusaders who held a 23-17 advantage in shots.

Alvernia returns home to host Lancaster Bible in non-conference action on Saturday.  A win would match the Crusaders best record to start a season.
