Reading, Pa. (Sept. 29, 2010) - Alvernia University (5-1) cruised to a 9-0 sweep of Penn State-Berks Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference women's tennis match at Angelica Park.
The Crusaders took each of the first two doubles matches by an 8-3 count then went up 3-0 with a 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles.
Alvernia won all six singles matches in straight sets save for No. 5 which was shortened to an eight-game pro set with the match having already been decided.
