BOX SCORE Doylestown, Pa. (Oct. 25, 2011) - Senior Eric Franks (Reading, Pa./Exeter) netted two goals and Alvernia (13-3-1) went on to win 5-0 over host Delaware Valley University (4-13) this afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action.  Franks' first goal was on an early penalty kick, with his second goal coming off a free kick in the second half.

The Crusaders got on the board early thanks to Franks' penalty kick in the sixth minute for the early 1-0 lead.  They added another goal before halftime from EJ Logan (Frederick, Md./Frederick), who netted his third goal of the season after Del-Val failed to clear the ball out of the box.

The second half was all Alvernia as they tallied eight shots to the Aggies' one.  Franks scored off a free kick in the 54th minute, Nick Fore (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) scored in the 79th minute on a breakaway pass from Matt Tunis (Brick, NJ/Brick Township) and Joe Gingrich (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) scored his first goal of the season as the clock wound down (89:52), also assisted by Tunis.

Alvernia returns to action on Oct. 29th when they host Arcadia in a conference match-up beginning at 3:30pm.
