Reading, Pa. (Apr. 20, 2011) - Elizabethtown College (10-5, 6-0) swept doubles play then took five of six singles matches for an 8-1 win Wednesday afternoon over Alvernia University (9-4, 2-2) in Commonwealth Conference women's tennis action at Hillcrest Tennis Club.

Alvernia senior Lil Snyder (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) earned the Crusaders' point with a straight set victory at no. 2 singles.

Alvernia heads to Lebanon Valley College on Thursday then wraps up the regular season hosting Messiah College on Monday.  The Conference team tournament kicks off next Wednesday.
