Reading, Pa. (Apr. 14, 2012) - Alvernia University (6-4, 1-2) jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after doubles play, but saw Albright College (6-7, 2-1) complete a comeback winning four of the six singles matches for a 5-4 victory Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's tennis action at Albright.

Jenn Petrilla (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton East) and Kayla Morgan (Mohrsville, Pa./Hamburg) teammed for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles then Kellie O'Donnell (Oreland, Pa./Springfield) and Maygan Henzie (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) followed with an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles to put the Crusaders up 2-1 in the match.  Albright fought back with straight-set wins at each of the top three singles flights while Henzie and Laura Ehnes (Roselle Park, N.J./Roselle Park) did the same for the Crusaders at No. 6 and No. 4.  The deciding match, No. 5 singles, went three sets with Albright's Melissa Carberry scoring a 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 win to help the Lions win the match.

Alvernia returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Arcadia in a Commonwealth Conference match.
