Reading, Pa. (Apr. 18, 2012) - Alvernia University (7-4, 2-2) jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play and won three of the six singles matches for a 5-4 win over Arcadia University (2-9, 2-4) Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's tennis action at Angelica Park.

The team of Laura Ehnes (Roselle Park, N.J./Roselle Park) and Jennifer Innamorato (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge West/East) pulled out an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles and Maygan Henzie (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) and Kellie O'Donnell (Oreland, Pa./Springfield Twp.) had a convincing 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles to put the Crusaders ahead early.

Ehnes and O'Donnell also earned wins in singles play at No. 4 and 5 respectively and Jennifer Petrilla (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton East) earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.
