Reading, Pa. (Sept. 26, 2012) - The Crusader Women's Tennis team won their third straight match with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Neumann University (4-5) this afternoon in non-conference action at Angelica Park.  Alvernia improves to 3-0 in their fall season and will play two more matches next week before gearing up for the Commonwealth Conference Championships on Oct. 6-7th.

The Crusaders got wins at #1 doubles and singles from Julie Seidel (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson), while Jennifer Petrilla (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton East) was victorious at #1 doubles and #3 singles.  Kayla Morgan (Mohrsville, Pa./Hamburg) also had a banner day with wins at #2 doubles and singles.  Both of Seidel's wins at #1 singles were of 6-0 shutout fashion, while both Petrilla and Rachele Smith (Millville, NJ/Sacred Heart) both posted 6-0 sets on their way to victory.

Alvernia will go for four straight when they travel to Immaculata University on Oct. 3rd.
