Reading, Pa. (Dec. 4, 2013) – Alvernia University (4-2, 0-2) shot just 28 percent from the floor in the second half and Lycoming College(2-3, 1-1) overcame a 5-point halftime deficit for a 65-61 win Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball action at Jack McCloskey Court.

The Warriors opened the second half with a 17-7 run that took just over eight minutes and flipped the 5-point deficit into a 5-point lead, 51-46 with 11:55 to play.  Alvernia got a jumper from Stevie Fortna (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon Catholic) on its next possession, but then neither team scored for better than two minutes before a Lycoming bucket with 9:16 to play.
