St. David's, Pa. (Mar. 14, 2013) - Alvernia University (6-4) earned points at the top five singles flights and the top two doubles flights in a 7-2 win over Eastern University (0-4) Thursday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Eastern.

The Crusaders top doubles team of Julie Seidel (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson) and Alyssa Boyd (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) earned an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles and Jennifer Innamorato (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge West/East) and Rachele Smith (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) followed with an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

Alvernia won the top four singles matches in straight sets and the final two were played in pro sets.  Alvernia won at No. 5 and Eastern took No. 6.

Alvernia continues the non-conference schedule at Ursinus on Saturday.
