Frederick, Md. (Apr. 13, 2013) - The Alvernia University depth was again on display Saturday as the Crusaders (9-6, 3-1) won the last two doubles matches and each of the last five singles matches in a 7-2 win over Hood College (2-8, 0-3) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's tennis action at Hood.

Jennifer Petrilla (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) scratched out a 3-set win at No. 2 singles taking the deciding set 7-5.  The Crusaders had 8-2 wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles and won the last four singles match in straight sets.

The Crusaders continue the conference schedule next Wednesday at Elizabethtown.
