Collegeville, Pa. (Apr. 4, 2013) -  Ursinus College (5-6) got off to a strong start with wins at all three doubles flights then took four of six singles matches for a 7-2 win over Alvernia University (6-6) Thursday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Ursinus.

Julie Seidel (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson) earned a straight set win at No. 1 singles for the Crusaders and Alyssa Boyd (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) recovered from a 6-1 loss in the first set for a 3-set win at No. 3 singles.

Alvernia returns to conference play when it hosts Lycoming on Saturday.
