Reading, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2013) - Alvernia University (2-0) bettered Penn State-Berks (1-1) by an 8-1 final Tuesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Berks.
The Crusaders won all three doubles flights with an 8-4 score then took five singles matches in straight sets. The Lions were able to get on the board with the No. 6 singles match was turned into a pro set and Erin Ginther pulled out an 8-6 win.
Alvernia continues the season Thursday at Bryn Mawr.
