BOX SCORE Annville, Pa. (Jan. 4, 2013) - Alvernia University (4-6, 0-4) made run after run, but couldn't get over the top in a 70-62 loss to Lebanon Valley College (10-1, 4-0) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball action at LVC Gymnasium.

Kaitlyn Yoh (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) scored a game-high 19 points for the Crusaders on 6-of-8 shooting.Â
Ann Walker (Warwick, N.Y./John S. Burke Catholic) scored 10 points and sophomore
Chelsea Ebersole (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) was held scoreless in the first half and scored 10 points after the break.
The Crusaders faced an 11-point deficit midway through the opening half and were able to cut that down to six points by halftime, 31-25. Yoh had just four points at halftime and Walker led the way with eight of her 10.
Ebersole hit her first 3 of the game on the Crusaders' first possession of the second half then hit another three minutes later to cut the LVC lead to two points, 39-37. Sophomore
Logan Focht (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) hit a 3 two minutes after that to tie the score at 42-all with 14:38 to go.
LVC scored five straight then pushed the lead to six points, but Alvernia clawed back to within two points. The Dutchmen came back with seven of the next nine points points to take a 59-52 lead with 4:36 to go and held the Crusaders at bay the rest of the way.
Alvernia returns home to face Dickinson College on Monday.
