Bethlehem, Pa. (Mar. 27, 2014) - Moravian College (11-2) swept the doubles points and took five of six singles matches in an 8-1 win over Alvernia University (7-6) Thursday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Moravian.

The Greyhounds took a 2-0 lead with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles and an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles and took the commanding early lead with an 8-5 win at No. 1.

Alvernia junior Julie Seidel (Wernersville, Pa./Wilson) took an impressive 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles for the Crusaders only point of the day.  The middle four singles matches all went Moravian's way in straight sets with the No. 6 match going three sets.

Alvernia returns to the conference schedule this Saturday at home hosting Hood College.
