Reading, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2014) - Alvernia University (5-0) remained undefeated on the season with a 9-0 win over Penn State-Berks Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Angelica Park.
The Crusaders put together a dominating performance winning all but three total games on the day. After cruising to three 8-0 wins in doubles, the host Crusaders won the first two and last two singles flights 6-0, 6-0 then took the No. 3 singles match 6-2, 6-0 and won at No. 4 by a 6-1, 6-0 final.
The Crusaders will return to action at the MAC Individual Championships next weekend.
