Reading, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2015) – Lycoming College (12-1-2, 5-0-1) scored the only goal of the second half in a 2-1 win over Alvernia University (6-4-5, 1-2-1) Saturday evening in MAC Commonwealth Men's Soccer action at Alvernia.
Lycoming netted the winner in the 59
th minute when Jordan Logan finished a feed from Kyle Thomas for his 12
th of the season.
The Warriors opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Duc Momo slipped a pass to Logan out in front of the Crusaders' goal and he found the back of the net for an early 1-0 lead.
The Crusaders answered in the 32
nd minute to tie the game at 1-1.
Metuge Esong hit a left-footer corner kick that curled into the box.
Andrew Baylor charged the ball and got a foot on it waist high. The redirection found its way through traffic and in for Baylor's second of the season.
Zach Rider made three saves in net for the Crusaders and kept a number of other chances from developing by charging out to clear any free balls served into the box.
Alvernia continues the conference schedule at Hood College on Tuesday.
