Grantham, Pa. (Oct. 31, 2015) - Messiah College (13-4-1, 7-1) scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute for a 1-0 win over Alvernia University (7-7-5, 2-5-1) Saturday evening in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action at Messiah.

Alvernia sophomore Zach Rider made 10 saves in net for the Crusaders--making five in each half.

Alvernia had three different players get off a shot each in the game--Nick Bombard, Austin Young, and Chris Guth.

The Crusaders are at an even .500 record through the regular season and will await a possible Eastern College Athletic Conference bid to be announced Monday, November 9.
