Reading, Pa. (Apr. 15, 2015) - Albright College (6-7, 1-4) broke out to a 2-1 lead after doubles matches, but Alvernia University (9-3, 4-1) stormed back winning all six singles matches for a 7-2 Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Confernece women's tennis action at Albright.
The Lions took an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles and an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles with the Alvernia team of
Becca Perkins and
Alyssa Boyd earning an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
The Crusaders won every singles match in straight sets.Â
Julie Seidel led the way at No. 1 with a 2-0 win, and
Jennifer Petrilla needed a pair of 7-5 wins to win at No. 2.
Alvernia is scheduled for a non-conference match with Bryn Mawr on Friday.
