Reading, Pa. (Sept. 14, 2015) - Alvernia University (1-0) used strong play in the singles flights to defeat Cabrini College (0-1) by a 6-2 final Monday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Angelica Park.
Cassandra Noray and
Emily Thek teamed for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, but the Cavaliers took No. 2 and No. 3 doubles for an early 2-1 win in the match. Alvernia stormed through the singles matches winning each of the top five flights for a 6-2 win.
The Crusaders continue the season next Wednesday at Penn State-Berks.
