Reading, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2015) - Alvernia University won the top four singles flights to earn a 6-3 win over Penn State-Berks in non-conference women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon at Berks.
The Crusaders opened up a 2-1 lead after doubles play getting wins at No. 1 and No. 3.Â
Cassandra Noray, who teamed with
Amanda Phillips to win at No. 1 doubles, started singles play with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1.Â
Lillian Hussar also won in straight sets at No. 2 doubles, Phillips earned her second point of the day with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 3 and
Emily Thek earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4.
The Crusaders continue the non-conference schedule Saturday at Susquehanna.
