Williamsport, Pa. (Apr. 23, 2016) - Alvernia University (9-7, 5-1) claimed all of its competitive matches in its 7-2 win over Lycoming College (4-11, 1-5) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's Tennis action at Lycoming.
Lycoming's pair of points came by default in No.3 doubles and No.6 singles, as the Crusaders did not have competitors for these flights.
In doubles play, Alvernia held the Warriors scoring to a minimum, taking 8-3 and 8-2 wins.
In singles action, the Crusaders won each flight in straight sets.
Lillian Hussar and
Cassandra Bean posted mirror performances, winning 6-1, 6-0 in No.3 and No.5.
Alvernia completes its regular spring season next Saturday, hosting Lebanon Valley College at 1:00 pm.
