Dallas, Pa (Sept. 16, 2017) - Led by junior
Matthew Junio, Alvernia University took third place out of six teams at the Cougar Classic, hosted by Misericordia University.
For the second week in a row Junio led the pack of Golden Wolves with an 8K time of 29:52.42, earning him an 11th place finish.
Finishing behind Junio was
Matthew Wacker, who finished the race in 17th place with a mark of 31:22.58.
Nicholas Sokolovic and
Tyler Barrett were the next two Alvernia finishers. Sokolovic finished with a time of 32:39.17, earning a 21st place finish. Right behind Sokolovic was Barrett, with a mark of 33:18.28, earning a 22nd place finish.
The final two Golden Wolves to cross the finish line were
Nicholas Sturm and
Johan Corona. Sturm finished in 24th place with a time of 34:33.80. Corona finished in 32nd place with a time of 40:53.90.
Alvernia returns to action on September 29th, when they had to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run.
