Selinsgrove, Pa. (Sept. 30, 2017) - Susquehanna University defeated Alvernia University 6-3 Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Susquehanna.
Alvernia was strong at the top of the lineup with
Cassandra Noray and
Amanda Phillips teaming to win at No. 1 doubles then taking two more points with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively.
Susquehanna was able to take a 2-1 lead after doubles with a 7-5 tie breaker win at No. 2 then ran off straight set victories in three singles matches.
Phillips and Noray remained undefeated in their respective flights for the Golden Wolves.
Alvernia is back in action next Saturday hosting Bryn Mawr College before the MAC Individual Championships the following weekend.
