Lancaster, Pa. (Dec. 1, 2018) - Alvernia University opened up its 2018 indoor season at the Diplomat Open, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
Freshman
Ivan Fegely earned Alvernia's top finish with a 5th place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.56 m. Fegley also earned a tenth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.75m.
Senior
Gabriel Fernandez earned Alvernia's other top-ten finish with a 10th place mark of 10.14m in the weight throw. Fernandez also competed in the shot put with a 28th place mark of 8.68m.
Jason Scott had two top-15 place finishes for the Golden Wolves. Scott placed 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.41m, and placed 14th in the shot put with a mark of 11.55m.
Trevor Keefer earned a 12th place finish with a 3.35m mark in the pole vault,
Adam Loehr finished 13th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.79 sec, and
Avery Lawrence rounded out Alvernia's top-15 finished with a 14th place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.27 sec.
Keefer also competed in the 60m dash, and Lawrence competed in the 200m dash. Loehr also competed in the high jump and 200m dash.
Also competing for the Golden Wolves was Dylan Bennet  (60m dash, 200m dash),
Brandon Jones (60m dash),
Daniel Scott (60m dash), and
Ryan Long (60m dash, 200m dash).
Alvernia continues its 2018 indoor schedule on December 8th at Lehigh University.
