Chester, Pa. (May 4, 2019) - Alvernia University scored 16 points and finished ninth at the 2019 MAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Widener University.

Graduate student Kristen Sipling had the best finish of the day for the Golden Wolves throwing 11.89m on her final throw in the shot put to finish fifth.

Theresa Hillbish finished seventh in the javelin throw at 32.60m, Lauren Callueng finished eighth in the 400m finals in a time of 1:02.25, and the 4x400m relay--run by Liza Callueng, Susanna PIrollo, Olivia Herzog, and Lauren Callueng--finished eighth in 4:14.90.

Those finishes added to Pirollo's eight points from her second place finish in the heptathlon for the Golden Wolves' total of 16.
