Annville, Pa. (September 11, 2021) - Alvernia University graduate student Katelyn Schoener paced Alvernia Women's Cross Country to a 5th place finish on Saturday morning at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational.
Schoener took 10th place overall with a 5K time of 19:50.20, just a half of a second of the ninth place finisher.
Finishing in second for Alvernia and 23rd overall was Isabel Fries with a time of 20:30.50.
Finishing within eight seconds of each other for third and fourth for Alvernia, and 37th and 40th overall, were Kira Angstadt and Kennedy Waterson with times of 21:07.20 and 21:15.60, respectively.
Rounding out counting times for Alvernia was Kaitlyn Snyder with a time of 21:32.20 for an overall finish of 46th place.
Marlena Okurowski and Sydni McKenna also competed for Alvernia, finishing in 24:07.90 and 24:35.30, respectively.
Alvernia returns to action on Saturday, September 25 for the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational.
