Reading, Pa. (Sept. 25, 2021) - Alvernia University (0-1) fell to DeSales University (2-0) 6-3 on Saturday morning in Alvernia's opening dual match of the 2021 fall season.

The Bulldogs took a 2-1 advantage after doubles play with wins at #2 and #3 doubles. The Golden Wolves picked up a point at #1 doubles with the duo of Leah Bouchard and Jillian Laughman taking an 8-4 win. 

In singles play, Alvernia picked up wins at #2 singles and #4 singles after both Laughman and Lily Summerson picked up points with tiebreaker set wins. 

The wins from Laughman and Summerman would not be enough as DeSales picked up wins in the other four singles matches to come away with the 6-3 match win.

Alvernia continues its fall season on Tuesday at Lancaster Bible College.
