BOX SCORE Lancaster, Pa. (Sept. 28, 2021) - Alvernia University (1-1) did not give up a point as the Golden Wolves defeated Lancaster Bible College (0-1) 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon in women's tennis action at Lancaster Bible.

The Golden Wolves got out to a fast start in doubles play, sweeping the Chargers 3-0. The duos of Leah Bouchard and Jillian Laughman as well as Laura Covely and Lily Summerson took #1 and #2 doubles 8-0, respectively. Rachel Rineer and Jackelyn Checo took #3 doubles 8-4.

Alvernia kept its foot on the gas in singles action. Bouchard did not give up a single game at #1 singles, taking her match 6-0, 6-0. Laughamn, Covely, Summerson, Rineer, and Checo each gave up just a game each over their matches at #2-#6 singles. They each won their match in a combo of 6-0, 6-1.

Alvernia returns to action on Thursday with its fall season finale. The Golden Wolves will host Cabrini starting at 3:30 PM.
