Schoener, Fries Go One-Two To Lead Alvernia To First Place At Goucher

Baltimore, Md. (September 3, 2021) - Katelyn Schoener and Isabel Fries finished one-two to lead Alvernia to a first place finish at Goucher College's Gopher Invitational on Friday evening.

Schoener took first overall and led Alvernia with a 4K time of 16:25.84. Finishing just four second behind Schoener was Fries with a time of 16:29.12.

Finishing in third for Alvernia and sixth overall was Kira Angstadt with a time of 17:30.06.

Taking seventh overall and fourth for Alvernia was Paige McKenna with a time of 17:40.44. Rounding out Alvernia's counting times was Kennedy Waterson with a time of 17:54.46.

Alvernia took first place by ten points, with the Golden Wolves scoring 24 points and Stevenson University coming in second with 34 points.

The Golden Wolves return to action next Saturday at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational.
