Williamsport, Pa. (Jan. 21, 2022) - Alvernia University picked up its tenth dual win of the year as the Golden Wolves (10-3) defeated Penn College (3-7) 39-12 on Friday night in men's wrestling action at Penn.

Alvernia took a 3-0 lead after Keito Shaw took a 3-0 decision over Ryan Berstler. Penn jumped ahead, though, to a 6-3 lead with a 25 second pin over Kyle Seibert in the 133 bout.

Alvernia went on to win the next seven bouts to put up 36 more points - including 12 points between pins from Matthew Lackman at 165 and Tonee Ellis at 197. 

Penn picked up the last points of the bout with a 3:53 pin over Alvernia's Zack Scheffler for the 39-12 final.

Alvernia returns to action tomorrow night hosting Messiah University in a dual at Alvernia's Physical Education Center.
