BOX SCORE Immaculata, Pa. (Sept. 13, 2022) - Alvernia Women's Tennis (1-0) opened its 2022-23 campaign with an 8-1 win over Immaculata University on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Immaculata. 

The Golden Wolves started off the match by sweeping doubles play before adding another five points in singles play.

The duo of Leah Bouchard and Lily Summerson edged out an 8-7 win with a tiebreaker set at #1 doubles, and Jillian Laughman and Rachel Rinner took an 8-2 win at #2 doubles. Sarah Mies and Elizabeth Danovich closed out the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at #3 doubles.

In singles action, Bouchard, Laughman, Rineer, Summerson, and Danovich each took their matches in straight sets to pick up Alvernia's final five points for the 8-1 win over the Mighty Macs.

Alvernia returns to action this weekend at the MAC Individual Tournament.
