Golden Wolves Finish 4th at Ursinus Racich Rumble

Collegeville, Pa (November 11, 2023) - Mauro Pellot-Vazquez tallied a first place finish in the 197 pound bracket to lead Alvernia University to a fourth place finish at the Ursinus College Racich Rumble Saturday.

Avery Leonard posted his second straight first place finish in the 141 pound weight class with a 16-11 decision in the finals over Kruczynski from NYU. Leonard also tallied a 19-3 tech fall in his first match, tech falls in his next two matches and a 5-1 decision in the semifinals.

Matthew Lackman recorded a first place finish as well in the 165 pound bracket with a 13-0 major decision in the final against Schenider from Elizabethtown. Lackman also tallied three pins and a 5-0 decision en route to the final.

Pellot-Vazquez posted a 19-4 tech fall in the 197 pound final against Fronheiser from King's College to secure the 197 pound title. Pellot-Vazquez tallied pins in his four bouts on his way to the final.

Chance Babb and James Circle recorded fourth place finishes in their respective weight classes and Quinn Tobin posted a fifth place finish at 149 pounds.

The Golden Wolves are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Muhlenberg for the Scotty Wood Duals at 9:00 AM.
