Nine Soccer Student Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

Reading, Pa. (Nov. 21, 2023) - Nine Alvernia student-athletes across men's and women's soccer earned CSC Academic All-District Honors, as announced by College Sports Communicators this week.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, which are nominated by their institution's Sports Information Director, are selected by College Sports Communicators (formally CoSIDA). This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to qualify for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. They must have also played in at least 90% of their team's games or started in at least 66% of their team's games.

Alvernia's honorees for men's soccer included Evan Bauer, Ryan Cogill, Justin Fetrow, Matthew Kerr, Matt Knowles, and Nick Willson. This is the second honor for Bauer, Cogill, Fetrow, Kerr, and Willson.

Earning the honor for Alvernia women's soccer was Haley Dougherty, Macy McDonough and Olivia Swartz. This is the first honor for all three.
