Collegeville, Pa. (Sept. 16, 2023) - Alvernia University (0-2) dropped a 9-0 decision on Saturday morning to Ursinus College (1-0) in non-conference men's tennis action.

The Bears jumped out a 3-0 lead after doubles play. The Bears took #3 doubles in straight sets, but Alvernia was able to get a point on the board in #1 doubles, as Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis dropped an 8-1 decision, and #2 doubles, as Thomas Figurelli and Luke Brisbois dropped an 8-2 decision.

The Bears did not allow a point at #1 and #4 doubles, and allowed just one set at #3 singles. Alvernia was able to pick up a few sets as Jayden Lewis was able to pick up three sets in an 0-6, 3-6 loss at #2 singles, and Alexandros Vaziri went 2-6, 2-6 at #6 singles.

Alvernia is back in action on Monday at Arcadia.
