Reading, Pa. (Nov. 15, 2024) - Alvernia University Men's Wrestling (2-0) defeated Nassau Community College, 35-11, on Friday night in men's wrestling action at Alvernia.

Alvernia started out trailing 7-0 after a no-contest at 125 lbs, a major decision loss at 133 lbs, and loss via decision at 144 lbs. 

Alvernia got on the board with a pin by Aiden Swann in 3:16 at 149 lbs, and Alvernia kept it rolling with a 15-0 technical fall win by Jason Rezac at 157 lbs. Matthew Lackman capped off the string of wins with a pin in 2:34 at 165 lbs.

The Golden Wolves picked up 12 points with wins by forfeit at 174 lbs and 184 lbs. 

Wrestling resumed with Myles Brown grabbing a pin in 3:06 at 197 lbs. Nassau picked up the final four points of the match with a major decision at heavy weight.

Alvernia is back in action tomorrow at Millersville.
