Alvernia Closes Out Fall Season at York’s Spartan Shootout

York, Pa. (October 20, 2025) - All three of Alvernia University's women's golfers finished in the top ten Monday at the York Spartan Shootout at Royal Manchester Golf Links.

Rylee Stenzel led the way with a fifth place finish, Cassidy Miksich followed with a sixth place finish and Grace Spielman rounded things out with an eighth place finish.

Round one was suspended due to darkness on Sunday and scores from 14 holes were taken as round one scores for the women's field.

Rylee Stenzel recorded a round two score of 87 and started her day on the tenth hole and carded four pars on the back nine to post a 43 on the back. Stenzel then carded just two pars on the front nine after a string of bogeys hampered her round. Stenzel posted a 44 on the front nine and an 87 on the day. Stenzel finished with a day two score of 149 and finished in solo fifth place.

Cassidy Miksich posted a team low round of 83 on day two of the Spartan Shootout and started on the ninth hole. Miksich pared the ninth hole, but then ran into a spell of bogeys but got back on track with three pars in her final five holes on the back nine to card a 42 on the back nine. Miksich then carded four pars on the front nine and carded a 41 on the front to post an 83 on the day. Miksich carded a two day total of 150 and finished in solo sixth place.

Grace Spielman rounded out the scores for the Golden Wolves and carded a 92 in round two. Spielman started her round on the tenth tee as well and carded a 47 on the back nine and tallied two pars. Spielman then turned to the front nine and carded three pars and a birdie at the par five third but big numbers hampered her front as she carded a 45 on the back and a 92 on the day. Spielman finished with a two day total of 155 and finished in solo eighth place.

The Spartan Shootout rounded out the fall season for the Golden Wolves.
