Spielman Fires Career Low, Takes Low Medalist Honors at MAC Preview

Kutztown, Pa. (April 15, 2026) - Alvernia University's Grace Spielman fired a career low round of 71 Wednesday evening en route to her first career low medalist honor Wednesday afternoon at the MAC Preview at Berkleigh Country Club.

Spielman's one under round of 71 comes as her career low and bested her previous career low by 11 strokes. Spielman carded seven birdies on the day and her low medalist honors is also the first of her career. Spielman's 71 is also the lowest score since McKylie Boreman fired in a record tying score of 69 in round one of the Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Club in September of 2024.

Spielman started her day with a bogey at the first but bounced back with a par at the second and then rattled off back to back birdies at the par three third and the par five fourth to get to one under par. Spielman then tallied back to back pars before carding birdies at the seventh and the ninth holes to post a three under 34 on the front nine. Spielman opened up her back nine with a par at the tenth and then added back to back birdies at the 11th and 12th holes to get to five under par. Spielman carded a bogey at the 13th but bounced back with a birdie at the par five 14th to stay at five under par. Spielman pared the 15th but then recorded a double bogey and two bogeys to end her round with a two over 37 on the back nine and a career best one under round of 71.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on the first weekend in May for the MAC Championships held at Berkleigh Golf Club. Round one is set for Saturday, May 2nd and round two on Sunday, May 3rd.
