Golden Wolves Take Fourth at Golden Oaks

Fleetwood, Pa. (Oct. 6, 2025) - Alvernia Men's Golf concluded day two of the Arcadia University Golden Oaks Shootout with a fourth place team finish in the field of nine teams competing at Golden Oaks Golf Club on Monday.

The Golden Wolves shot a 318 on Monday for a two-day team score of 621. Alvernia finished in a tie for fourth with Hood. Albright took first place with a two-day total of 595 after posting a 297 on Monday.

Shawn Williams finished as Alvernia's top-finisher of the tournament. He finished in a tie for seventh with a two-day total of 162 and a round of 81 on Monday. He finished 11 strokes back of Albright's Federico Cobos Kallman, who posted a 141 across the two days.

Williams posted a front nine 6-over 42 before following with a 3-over 39. He had nine pars and two birdies on the day, and played the first five holes of the back nine at 1-under after a birdie on the par five 11th hole. 

Matthew Overholt finished in second for Alvernia and in a tie for 11th overall with a two-day total of 153. Overholt had Alvernia's lowest round on Monday with a round of 6-over 78. Overholt played the front nine at 1-over, making the turn at 37. He parred his first five holes of the day before giving one back at the sixth. He then birdied the par five 8th before another bogey on the ninth. He moved back to even on the day with a birdie on the par four 10th, but played the rest of the way at 6-over for his round of 78.

Jacob DeWitt finished third for Alvernia and in a tie for 22nd overall with a two-day total of 157. DeWitt shot a 79 on day two. He started his day out hot, going 2-under through three holes with birdies on the second and third holes. He then made the turn at 1-over and remained 1-over through the first three holes of the back nine. He found trouble on the back stretch though and finished at 7-over 79.

Zachary Neuin was Alvernia's final counting score of the day, posting an 80 for a two-day total of 159 to finish in a tie for 28th. Neuin finished with nine pars and a birdie on the par five 11th. 

Chase Smith played as Alvernia's fifth and shot an 82 on Monday for a two-day total of 166 for a tie for 38th. Smith's round was highlighted by a birdie on the third hole, which helped him start his day off being 1-under through four holes.

Alvernia has a quick turnaround and will back in action on Tuesday hosting its home invitational at LedgeRock.
