Kim Breaks Individual Record, Golden Wolves Take First at Golden Oaks Shootout, Third at Weyhill Classic

Kim Cards Round of 66 to Set New Program Record

Fleetwood, Pa./Bethlehem, Pa. (September 28, 2026) - Alvernia University rolled out three teams to two different tournaments on Monday in men's golf action. Alvernia sent its Maroon and Grey teams to the Golden Oaks Shootout at Golden Oaks Golf Club and Alvernia's Gold team headed to the Weyhill Classic at Saucon Valley's Weyhill Course. 

Alvernia's Allen Kim fired in a career low and program low round of 66 in a six under performance at the Golden Oaks Shootout en route to low medalist honors and also led the Golden Wolves to the team title. Alvernia's Maroon team carded a tournament low round of 291 to take first place. Alvernia's Grey team carded a score of 317 and finished in fifth place.

Alvernia's Gold team traveled to a second tournament on Monday and headed to Saucon Valley's Weyhill Course for the Weyhill Classic hosted by Moravian. Alvernia's Grey team carded a team score of 307 en route to the third place finish. 

Golden Oaks Shootout (Maroon & Grey)

Allen Kim led the Golden Wolves at the Golden Oaks Shootout hosted by Arcadia University with a record breaking round of 66 en route to low medalist honors. Kim carded two birdies in the first five holes before posting four straight pars to card a 34 on the front nine. He then turned around and fired in four birdies in his first six holes on the back nine, including a stretch of three in a row on 11,12 and 13 before carding three pars to end the round. Kim posted a 32 on the back nine to card the six under round of 66. The round of 66 sets a new program record and breaks Owen Wisner's record of 68 set back in 2023 and also teammate Brody Calle's round of 68 earlier this month. 

Three other members of the Alvernia Maroon team carded top ten finishes with Brody Calle, Quinlan Hood and Matthew Overholt all posting finishes inside the top ten. 

Calle recorded a sixth place finish with a score of 74 and carded 11 pars and three birdies on the day en route to the two over round of 74. 

Hood followed Calle with a solo seventh place finish and a round of 75. Hood carded a 37 on the front nine with three birdies and two pars and posted a 38 on the back nine with six pars and one birdie en route to the seventh place finish. 

Overholt rounded out the top ten finishers for the Alvernia Maroon team and carded a four over round of 76 and a T8 finish. Overholt carded a clean front nine with nine straight pars and continued that on the first three holes on the back nine. Overholt carded a bogey at the 13th and 17th and a double at the 14th but other than those three blemishes, carded a clean round of 76 with 15 pars. 

Austen Brazeau rounded out the scores for the Maroon team with a round of 82 and finished in a tie for 27th place. Brazeau carded a 42 on the front nine before posting a 40 on the back nine en route to the round of 82. 

Brendan Schott led the Alvernia Grey team in action at Golden Oaks and carded a five over round of 77 and finished in a tie for tenth place. Schott carded a 41 on the front nine before bouncing back with five pars and back to back birdies at 14 and 15 to card a two over 38 on the back nine and finish with a round of 77. 

Matthew Gagliardi followed Schott with a round of 78 and finished in a tie for 12th place. Gagliardi carded a two over 38 on the front nine and carded bogeys at four and seven but tallied pars on the other seven holes on the front nine. Gagliardi then posted a back nine score of 40 after four bogeys and five pars to post a 78 on the day. 

Chase Carr recorded a round of 80 on Monday for the Alvernia Grey team and tallied a 39 on the front nine with six pars. Carr then tallied a 41 on the back nine en route to the round of 80 and finished in a tie for 17th place. 

Jacob DeWitt and Jakob Chapman rounded out the scores for the Golden Wolves at the Golden Oaks Shootout. DeWitt carded a round of 82 with ten pars en route to a T27 finish and Chapman finished in a tie for 30th place with a round of 83 and also carded ten pars on the day. 

Weyhill Classic (Alvernia Gold)

Zachary Neuin led the Gold team at the Weyhill classic to a third place team finish with a total score of 307. 

Neuin finished in a tie for fifth place with a round of 74 and posted an even par 36 on the front nine with two birdies and five pars in a row. Neuin then posted a 38 on the back nine with five more pars and a birdie at the 16th en route to the two over round of 74. 

Chase Smith carded a round of 77 on Monday and finished in a tie for 12th place. Smith recorded a 39 on the front nine with two birdies and four pars and then posted a 38 on the back nine with seven pars and two bogeys. 

Eugenio Paganoni and Colby Seislove both recorded rounds of 78 on Monday and finished in a tie for 15th place. Paganoni posted a 38 on the front nine with a birdie and five pars before posting a 40 on the back nine with four pars and another birdie. Seislove carded a 38 on the front nine with four pars and back to back birdies at nine and ten before posting a 40 on the back nine with seven pars en route to the 78. 
 
Tyler Koch rounded out the Golden Wolves with an 82 on Monday and finished in a tie for 28th place. Koch carded a 39 on the front nine with three birdies and carded four pars and a birdie on the back nine but posted a 43 en route to the round of 82. 

Alvernia is back in action next Monday and Tuesday when they host the Battle at Bulle Rock at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Harve de Grace, Md.
