Alvernia then held off the Monarchs for the remainder of their power-play as the Golden Wolves took the one goal advantage into the second period.
  • The Golden Wolves needed just under four minutes of second period action to take a 3-1 lead as Frazer Dodd scored off a Leo Cabulis faceoff win four minutes into the second period.
  • Alvernia's two-goal lead did not last long as the Monarchs got within one, 3-2, 5:36 into the second period.
  • As the period moved past its midpoint, Alvernia pushed its lead back to two, 4-2, as Sawyer Senio scored off the assist of Becnel.
