McCabe Piavis earned All-MAC honors for his performance during the 2025 Football season, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference on Wednesday.
Piavis was named Second Team All-MAC, marking the first All-MAC honor of his career. Piavis led Alvernia with 80 tackles this season, racking up 42 solo tackles and 38 assisted tackles. He finished the year with a team-high 7.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He also had an interception against Eastern, a blocked kick against Lebanon Valley, and a forced fumble against Misericordia. He finished the year with three pass break-ups and two quarterback hurries. His 80 total tackles ranked him fourth in the MAC, and he finished fifth in solo tackles. He also finished 9th in the conference in tackles for a loss and 11th in tackles for a loss per game.Â
Brett Nabb, a quarterback at Eastern University, was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Jason Bateman, a linebacker for Eastern University, was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year. Fred Adler, a first-year kicker for Widener University, was named the MAC Rookie of the Year. Billy Crocker, the head coach for Eastern University was named the MAC Coach of the Year.
