Five Student-Athletes Earn MAC Player of the Week Honors

Reading, Pa. (Nov. 4, 2025) - A total of five Alvernia student-athletes earned MAC Player of the Week honors for their respective performances during the week of October 27 - November 2, 2025.

Ava Michael was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Field Hockey Player of the Week, and Zoe Caloviras was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Field Hockey Player of the Week. Evan Solley was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week, and Alvernia Men's Ice Hockey swept the opening week of Men's Ice Hockey honors. Keegan Driscoll was named Offensive Player of the Week, and Jeff Kreidler was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Ava Michael accounted for all six of Alvernia's goals scored in a 2-0 week for the Golden Wolves. In a 4-0 win over Albright on Wednesday, Michael scored four goals in three quarters to lead Alvernia to the 4-0 lead. In a 2-0 double-overtime win at Hood on Saturday, Michael scored the equalizer for Alvernia in the 50th minute after Alvernia trailed 1-0. She then scored the game-winner on a penalty stroke in the fifth minute of the second overtime period to lead Alvernia to the season-finale 2-1 win.

Zoe Caloviras made six saves and allowed just one goal across two games and nearly 128 minutes of action in goal in a 2-0 week for Alvernia. In a 4-0 win over Albright, Caloviras played 54 minutes and made three saves. In a 2-1 double overtime win over Hood on Saturday, Caloviras made another three saves to secure the win.

Evan Solley allowed two goals and made nine saves in a 1-0-1 week for Alvernia. In a 2-1 win over Widener on Tuesday, Solley made two saves in net for Alvernia. He then followed that with a seven-save performance in a 1-1 tie to Albright on Saturday. That nine save performance put Solley at 412 career saves, making him Alvernia's all-time leader and allowing him to finish as the active saves leader across all NCAA divisions. 

Keegan Driscoll scored two goals to open his collegiate career in a 2-0 weekend for Alvernia. In a 4-0 win in the season-opener against SUNY Morrisville, Driscoll scored Alvernia's third goal of the game midway through the second period. In a 3-2 win over SUNY Cortland, who is receiving votes, Driscoll scored Alvernia's game-winner late in the second period, breaking a 2-2 tie.

Jeff Kreidler picked up two wins in goal for Alvernia, picking up two wins in his collegiate debut weekend. Kreidler finished the weekend with 78 saves, allowing two goals. In a 4-0 shutout over SUNY Morrisville on Friday night, Kreidler made 30 saves for the Golden Wolves. In a 3-2 win over SUNY Cortland, who is receiving votes, Driscoll made 48 saves for Alvernia - including a 15 save third period to help Alvernia secure the 3-2 win.

Field Hockey and Men's Soccer concluded their seasons this past weekend. Men's Ice Hockey is back in action on Friday for both their home and MAC opener against Stevenson University.
