The Dutchmen went for an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff and recovered the ball at midfield. Five plays later, Lebanon Valley took a 28-0 lead on a 28-yard rush by Dion Bryant. The Golden Wolves prevented the Dutchmen from adding to their lead as Ta'Jier Burrus intercepted the ball just shy of the goal line with 12 seconds to play in the half.
