Men's Tennis Opens Fall Season at Ursinus Invitational

Collegeville, Pa. (Sept. 13, 2025) - Alvernia Men's Tennis opened its fall competition season this weekend at the two-day Ursinus Men's Tennis Invitational.

The Golden Wolves joined the host Bears, Albright, and Arcadia for singles and doubles style competition. Team scores were not kept. Full results are below.

Alvernia is back in action on October 4th at PSU Berks.

Friday:

Round 1: Doubles
- Lucas Montello and Luke Brisbois lost 6-1 to Ursinus
- Troy O'Malley and Duncan McDowell lost 6-3 to Ursinus
- Andrew Kao partnered with Ursinus partner and lost 6-3 to Albright
Round 2: Doubles
- Troy O'Malley and Lucas Montello lost 6-1 to Arcadia
- Andrew Kao and Luke Brisbois lost 6-2 to Arcadia
- Duncan McDowell and an Arcadia partner lost 6-0 to Arcadia
Round 3: Singles
- Lucas Montello lost 8-2 to Albright
- Luke Brisbois lost 8-3 to Albright
- Troy O'Malley lost 8-1 to Albright
- Duncan McDowell lost 8-1 to Albright
- Andrew Kao won 8-2 over Albright

Saturday:

Round 1: Doubles
- Lucas Montello and Andrew Kao lost 6-1 to Albright
- Luke Brisbois and Troy O'Malley defeated Albright, 6-4
Round 2: Singles vs. Ursinus
- Luke Brisbois lost: 6-0, 6-1
- Lucas Montello lost: 6-1, 6-3
- Troy O'Malley lost: 6-0, 6-0
- Andrew Kao lost: 6-0, 6-3
