Golden Wolves Fall to Lions, 7-0

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2025) - Alvernia Men's Tennis (0-1) closed out the fall season with a 7-0 loss to Penn State Berks (2-1) on Saturday afternoon in non-conference tennis action at Berks.

Alvernia dropped #1 doubles as Luke Brisbois and Troy O'Malley fell, 6-1. Lucas Montello and Andrew Kao won #2 doubles, 6-3. But, a forfeit by Alvernia at #3 doubles cost them the available point for doubles play as the Lions took a 1-0 lead into singles.

The Golden Wolves were then swept in the six singles matches for the 7-0 match final. Kao fell in a tiebreaker set, and Duncan McDowell took #5 singles to three sets, but lost 10-8 in the tiebreaker set.

Today marked the final day of the fall season for Alvernia.
