Miksich in Sixth, Alvernia Eighth Through Day One of Millersville Invitational

Kutztown, Pa. (Sep. 15, 2025) - Alvernia Women's Golf posted a team score of 344 on day one of the Millersville Invitational, hosted at Berkleigh Golf Club on Monday in Kutztown, Pa.

Alvernia, who is the only Division III team in the field of 11, is in eighth place through day one with its team score of 344.

Alvernia's Cassidy Miksich is in a five-way tie in sixth place, leading Alvernia with a score of 8-over 80. Miksich started her day with a par on the par four 1st hole and moved to 1-under on the par four 2nd. She gave a stroke back on the par three 3rd and finished the front nine at 2-over 37. She moved back to 1-over with a birdie on the par four 10th hole, but played the rest of the back nine at 7-over for her day one total of 80. Miksich is four strokes off of West Chester's Margaux Solis and Kutztown's Brooke Graham, who both posted rounds of 76.

Finishing second for Alvernia and in 28th overall is Emmerson Bartley with a day one score of 86. Bartley posted a front nine score of 42 with two pars. She then played the back nine at 44. Bartley posted three pars and a birdie on the par four 14th on the back nine.

Both Rylee Stenzel and Grace Spielman finished with rounds of 89, putting them each in 37th place going into Tuesday. Stenzel posted a front nine score of 40 with four pars and a birdie on the par three 6th hole. She followed her front nine with a49 on the back nine with two pars. Spielman posted a front nine score of 44 and joined Miksich with a birdie on the par four 2nd hole. She also had three pars on the front. Spielman then posted a back-nine score of 45 with three pars.

Alvernia is back at Berkleigh on Tuesday looking to hunt down West Chester. The Rams have a sizable 14 stroke lead after posting a day one score of 313.
