Williams and Smith Lead Golden Wolves on Day Two of the Dickinson Fall Invitational

Carlisle, Pa (September 8, 2025) - Chase Smith fired in a team low round of 72 to lead the Golden Wolves on day two of the Dickinson Fall Invitational at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club Monday afternoon. 

Alvernia sent out two teams again on day two and Alvernia's Maroon team recorded a 13th place finish and the Gold team recorded a 19th place finish. 

Smith rattled off six birdies on the day en route to the even par round of 72. Shawn Williams recorded a two over round of 74 and tallied a team best T21 finish. 

Chase Smith started his day with two birdies in his first four holes and tallied two more birdies on seven and nine but he mixed in two bogeys to card a two under, 34 on the front nine. Smith then came back with a birdie on ten but recorded four bogeys in his next six holes. Smith bounced back with a birdie at the 17th and a par at the 18th to record an even par round of 72 and finished in a tie for 29th place at +5 on the weekend. 

Shawn Williams recorded a T21 finish which was the best finish on Alvernia and was +3 for the tournament. Williams recorded a very solid round of golf on day two and tallied eight pars on the front nine with his only blemish being a bogey five at the fifth hole. Williams then repeated his front nine on the back and rattled off eight pars on the back nine to record a 37 on the back after a 37 on the front and finished with a round two score of 74. 

Matthew Overholt posted a four over round of 76 on day two recorded three pars and two birdies on the front nine but a few bogeys and a double saw him card a 39 on the front nine. Overholt carded a bogey at the tenth but bounced back with six pars and one birdie in his final eight holes to post a one over 37 on the back nine and a career low round of 76. Overholt finished in a tie for 71st place. 

Zachary Neuin also recorded a 76 on day two and rattled off seven pars on the front nine but back to back bogeys on five and six saw him card a 38 on his first nine holes. Neuin recorded three bogeys in his first five holes on the back nine but responded with two birdies and a par to end his round and post a 38 on the back to card a 76 and finish in a tie for 42nd place. 

Matthew Gagliardi posted a 77 on day two and tallied six pars on the front nine but recorded three bogeys to post a 39 on the front nine. Gagliardi recorded three pars and one bogey in his first four holes on the back nine and then tallied three bogeys in his final five holes but squeezed in two birdies between those bogeys to card a 38 on the back and a 77 overall. Gagliardi finished in a tie for 85th place. 

Kenton Lightburn recorded a 78 on day two and finished in a tie for 94th. Lightburn recorded seven pars on the front nine including a string of five pars in a row to close out the front nine. Lightburn then tallied three pars and two birdies on the back nine but a few bogeys and a big number saw him card a 40 on the back and a 78 on the day. 

Matt Davies posted a day two score of 79 and tallied a 40 on the front nine and recorded five pars on the front but posted four bogeys as well. Davies then carded a double on ten and a bogey on 11 but bounced back with a birdie and five pars to end his round and post a 39 on the back to finish with a 79 on the day. Davies recorded a T98 finish at the Invitational. 

Jakob Chapman recorded an 81 on day two after a front nine score of 38 but big numbers and bogeys saw him card a 43 on the back nine. Chapman finished in a tie for 83rd place. Brock Mueller posted an 83 on Monday afternoon and carded a 43 on the front. Mueller was poised to shoot an even par back nine but a few big numbers derailed the back nine and he carded a 40 to finish with an 83 on the day. Mueller finished in a tie for 90th place. Jacob DeWitt rounded out the scores for the Golden Wolves with a round two score of 83 as well. DeWitt recorded a 41 on the front nine and a 42 on the back to finish in a tie for 91st place.
