Alvernia was then charged with a roughing penalty to send Wilkes on a power-play. Alvernia's defense blocked three more shots and Graham added two more saves to kill off the penalty and keep the game at 2-0 through the first four minutes of the period..
  • The Colonels followed Alvernia's penalty kill with one of its own as the game moved into the latter half of the period with Alvernia continuing to hold the 2-0 advantage.
  • The Golden Wolves took a 3-0 lead with eight and a half minutes to play in the second frame with Vincent Servizzi getting in on the scoring. He was assisted by Matthew Imbriano and Dodd tallied his third assist of the afternoon as well.
  • After a back-and-forth opening five minutes of the third period, Wilkes was charged with a hooking penalty to send the Golden Wolves back on the power-play. Alvernia needed just nine seconds of the extra-man opportunity to take a 4-0 lead.
