Reading, Pa. (Feb. 9, 2026) - Alvernia Women's Basketball first year Samantha Wade and Men's Ice Hockey first year Connor Graham were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of February 1 - February 8, 2026. Samantha Wade averaged 18 points and 5.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Golden Wolves. Wade shot 58% from three on the week, going 7-for-12. She also went 14-for-29 overall and finished the week with four assists and two steals. In a 62-57 win over York, WAde went 5-for-12 from the floor and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc for a 14 point performance. She also grabbed eight rebounds in the win. In a 77-68 win over Albright, Wade posted a career-high 22 points, going 4-for-7 from deep and 9-for-17 overall. She finished the game with three assists and two steals.

Connor Graham combined for 55 saves and just one goal allowed in a 2-0 weekend for the Golden Wolves. Graham made 27 saves and allowed one goal in a 2-1 win over Arcadia on Friday night. He followed that with a 28 save shutout performance in net in a 1-0 win over Misericordia on Saturday.

Alvernia Women's Basketball is back in action on Wednesday at Hood College. Men's Ice Hockey is back on the ice on Friday at Stevenson.
