Golden Wolves Fall to Mules, 7-0

Allentown, Pa. (March 18, 2026) - Alvernia Women's Tennis (1-2) dropped a non-conference contest to Muhlenberg College (5-1) on Wednesday evening at Muhlenberg.

Due to the temperatures, the match was played indoors at Muhlenberg's Deitrich Field House.

The Mules took the available doubles point, taking all three doubles matches. Alvernia won three games with Jillian Laughman and Adelynn Steffy No. 1 doubles before dropping the match, 6-3. Alvernia also picked up a game at No. 3 doubles before Jordyn Ingelido and Nicolina Schlesser dropped their match, 6-1.

Laughman then narrowly missed out on a singles win at No. 1 singles. Laughman took the first set, 6-1, before dropping the second set, 6-3 to even the match. Muhlenberg then took the tiebreaker, 11-9, to win the match.

Steffey fell at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0, and Jennah DeGout fell at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Grace Dobrzynski fell in straight sets at No. 4 singles, and both Jordyn Ingelido and Nicolina fell in straight pro sets for the 7-0 final win for Muhlenberg. 

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday at King's.
